Manage promotions and discount codes yourself

Create promotions in the dashboard, apply discounts automatically or by code, and review applications directly from a booking.

You can now set up promotions yourself in the dashboard. From a simple discount code to an automatic discount with manual review: your team can now manage this without separate support steps.


More control in the dashboard#

You can now:

  • Create promotions with either a percentage or a fixed amount.
  • Choose how a promotion works: apply it automatically or only after entering a code.
  • Decide what the discount applies to: the base price or an upsell.
  • Decide whether a promotion can be combined with other discounts.
  • Manage discount codes with start and end dates, a maximum number of uses, and optionally a link to a specific email address.

Handle discounts that need extra checks more naturally#

Some discount codes are meant for situations where you first want extra context or proof. For example, when someone was referred by another customer, or when they qualify for a discount because they are booking again later in the same season.

That is why you can now:

  • Use discount codes for cases that need extra checks, without managing that process outside Buchung.
  • See per application which promotion, code, and discount amount it is about.
  • Read the submitted explanation or proof before you decide.
  • Approve or reject an application directly from the dashboard.
  • See on the booking page itself which registration is still waiting for approval.
  • Finish that review directly from the booking, without first going to a separate page.

Discount codes are now part of the booking flow#

This also fits better with how your team works on the booking website:

  • Guests now get clearer feedback during booking about what a discount code does, instead of only finding out later whether a discount was applied.
  • For codes that need extra review, they can send a short explanation right away.
  • As long as an application has not been reviewed yet, that status stays visible for your team so nobody has to guess why a discount is not final yet.
