Archive and replace upsells
Clean up old upsells, replace incorrectly configured variants, and keep existing bookings traceable.
Upsells change in practice. Sometimes you no longer want to sell an option, or a variant turns out to have been set up incorrectly.
We made several improvements for managing and replacing upsells.
Archive upsells without losing history#
You can now archive upsells. They disappear from sales steps, while existing bookings and historical data remain available.
That helps when an upsell should no longer be sold, but still appears on old bookings.
When replacing an upsell, you can continue more cleanly:
- Old upsells remain traceable on existing bookings.
- New upsells can take over sales.
- Titles and names are less likely to conflict when replacing.
- Archived items stay out of normal sales choices.
Replace without confusion#
You often do not want to keep showing an incorrectly configured upsell, but you also do not want old bookings to become unclear.
By archiving the old upsell and using a new variant, your team can still see what was booked at the time. At the same time, new bookings use the correct option.
Less risk when cleaning up#
Cleaning up an old upsell is often more sensitive than it looks. The option needs to disappear from new sales steps, but old bookings still need to stay clear.
That is why archiving is deliberately not a hard delete. You can clean up the offering without losing history.
