Collect payment on the spot during check-in
Add an upsell, let the customer pay on their own phone with a QR code, and watch the payment arrive live on your screen.
At check-in there's often still something to settle. A wetsuit someone wants to add, an outstanding balance on the booking. Until now that was a separate task for later. Now you handle it right away, while the guest is standing in front of you.
Collect right where you are#
On a registration you can add an upsell and, in the same step, choose what happens with the invoice:
- Keep as draft — settle it later.
- Process — the amount counts toward the booking's outstanding balance right away.
- Process and collect now — Buchung finalizes the invoice and opens the payment screen immediately.
With that last option a QR code appears for exactly the right amount. Nothing to retype, no separate payment request to build.
The customer pays on their own phone#
The QR code opens a payment page on the customer's phone, where they pay with iDEAL or another method. The payment runs through your own Mollie account.
It doesn't matter how the customer reaches that page. Let them scan the QR code at the desk, or send the payment link over WhatsApp or email to someone paying from home. It's the same link and the same result.
Watch the payment arrive live#
The moment the payment comes in, your screen updates on its own. The payment screen switches to Payment received, and the booking's outstanding balance becomes Paid · € 0.00.
You don't have to refresh the page or check the Mollie dashboard to see whether it worked. You watch it happen.
And when nothing is outstanding, that's clear too: a green Paid state on the booking, so you know everything is settled before you finish the check-in.
